4/23/08 – Keener recently sponsored the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance’s Dream Kitchens Tour on Saturday April 5th. More than 600 visitors experienced the latest in kitchen designs in Harford and Northern Baltimore Counties, sampling culinary delights while raising more than $15,000 for cancer research, prevention, education and treatment.
The Keener-designed custom kitchen of professional chef Joe Hickey and his wife Rita Costello showcased both the chef’s and Keener’s unmistakable craftsmanship.

Keener Kitchen Names New Vice President of Sales
12/11/07 – Stephen Keener, President of Keener Kitchen Manufacturing Company in Red Lion, PA has announced the promotion of Pat Caulfield to Vice President of Sales. In her new position, Ms. Caulfield is responsible for supervision of Keener’s four full-time certified designers and three full-time design specialists, as well as new residential business development in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Caulfield was formerly Sales Manager.
Prior to joining Keener, Ms. Caulfield worked as an instructor of Interior Design at A.I., Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, and as a freelance residential and commercial interior designer. Additionally, she was Design Coordinator for a York County-based new home builder, as well as Inside Sales and Design Coordinator for a local building supply company.
Ms. Caulfield earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Maryland Institute of Art, where she majored in Fine Arts. She has continued her painting studies under Nancy Wiseman at the York Art Association.

10/23/07 – For 35 years, Keener Kitchen Manufacturing Company has been designing, manufacturing and installing some of the region’s finest custom cabinetry. Started by Everett and Arlene Keener in 1973 in an historic cigar factory in Red Lion, PA, the firm now employs over 70 designers, craftsmen and professional installers. In addition to award-winning kitchens, baths and other special rooms for the home, Keener also manufactures commercial casework for schools, offices, medical and financial institutions, and other applications.
Keener Kitchen has the area’s largest group of on-staff NKBA-certified kitchen designers, who provide personal designs and custom solutions for homeowners in Pennsylvania, Maryland and northern Virginia. Keener Kitchen Earns Two Grand Awards Honorable Mention from York County Remodelers
6/6/07 – Keener Kitchen Manufacturing Co., Inc. of Red Lion earned two Grand Awards and one Honorable Mention from the Remodelers Council of the York County Builders Association at the 16th annual Awards of Excellence celebration held recently in York.
Keener earned the Grand Award for Kitchen Remodeling $25,000 - $40,000 for creative use of materials and design savvy. The country kitchen contrasted cherry cabinets with stainless steel appliances, range hood and backsplash, and included an “eat in” area, desk and display area, and plenty of preparation and entertaining space. Floor to ceiling cabinets and three Lazy Susans increased the storage capacity of this modest-sized space.
Keener won the Grand Award for Kitchen Remodeling $50,000 - $75,000 for the architecturally accurate renovation of a 1920’s estate home in an upscale Baltimore suburb. Furniture-style cabinets of rustic cherry and painted birch and two colors of granite countertops were combined with a media center and professional grade cooking equipment to create award-winning design and functionality.
Keener won Honorable Mention for Kitchen Remodeling $50,000 - $75,000 for an Arts and Crafts style project that combined hand-applied sand through cabinets, an 11’ island, contrasting granite countertops and a natural stone tile backsplash.
Keener Earns Honorable Mention from York Remodelers
6/6/07 – Keener Kitchen Manufacturing Co., Inc. of Red Lion earned an Honorable Mention from the Remodelers Council of the York County Builders Association. Earl D. March of Keener’s architectural casework division won Honorable Mention for Commercial Remodeling for Keener’s role in the expansion and renovation of Martin Memorial Library in downtown York. Matching new construction with the architectural elegance of one of York’s most famous landmarks, Keener craftsmen remodeled multiple spaces, including public areas with computers, audio books and DVDs; shelving for over 55,000 books; a new Homework Center, Family Place and café; conference rooms; a kitchenette; reference areas; and Help Desk, among others.
